"ZETTAI REIDO" PREVIEW CM

Today actress Sawajiri Erika (23) finally appeared in front of the press to announce her new commercial for Takano Yuri Beauty Clinic that marks her comeback in the show business.

They've spent a lot of time talking about the beauty clinic and Erika maintained a humble attitude throughout the press conference. However, at the end they eventually brought up the 6 demands that brought her a lot of bad comments last week. Many were expecting her to take those back. "I didn't expect that to become such a big turmoil. No, I won't take those back."

They've set up quite a gorgeous pink stages with cherry blossoms all over the place. Eventually Erika appeared on stage with a nervous expression and first of all bowed to the reporters in full 90 degrees. "I thought that it would be the best to talk to you myself today, but I haven't been in front of the media like that for over 2 years," she apologized for her nervousness. Further she added, "I'm actually quite anxious, but I hope that you will kindly watch over me." People haven't heard such humble words from Erika for a very long time, so reporters already gave her standing ovations just for her greeting. She also thanked her family and her fans that supported her during those lonely past 2 years. During the press conference she didn't try to make her answers too long, but she always had a calm expression and a smile on her face.

Then the president of Takano Yuri Beauty Clinic revealed that they ditched an American actress just to get Erika for the commercials. "We already gave Sawajiri-san the offer 3 years ago. Back in December we received the OK from an American actress that got picked for an Oscar, but in the end we decided that we would like to have a Japanese woman." They also showed the commercial for the first time and it's just like we expected it. If you've already seen the picture with the body painting, then you pretty much know the contents of the commercial.

"I was nervous being at a set again, but it turned out to be very exciting and fun. I guess my expression (in this CM) shows that this is what I love... this is what I want to do..." She had to pause and couldn't hold back a couple of tears. After all she really loves to act and just realized it again after such a long hiatus. She is looking forward to play a vast variety of roles again in the future.

Before she appeared on stage, the host of the event answered a few questions that got handed in by the reporters. It included a couple of statements unrelated to the commercial. First of all Takashiro isn't involved in her sales promotions at all, she's doing that all on her own. Second she didn't take any drugs whatsoever, neither in Japan nor in any other country. Those rumors were completely groundless.

Japanese pop icon Ami Suzuki rocked the Gold Coast to its very foundations on Sunday night without even picking up a microphone. At first I was slightly disappointed that I'd flown from Sydney to listen her holiness play a bunch of CDs but just being in her presence was enough to turn the evening into a semi-religious experience. That and the fact that she accidentally spilled some water on my head. Yes, bitches - I've been baptised by Amigod! Apart from that life changing moment, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly hearing Ami play a fabulous mash of "Free Free" and "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". I wish she played more of her own music but at least she picked the two best songs from her vast catalogue of hits. Other tracks spun by pop legend include "Just Dance", "Sexy Bitch" and "Boom Boom Pow". Ami is so cutting edge! There isn't actually that much I can write about a DJ set, so I thought I'd let the pictures do the talking.

For Japanese gangster game Yakuza 4, SEGA held an open casting call for wanna-bes to appear in the game. Among those selected was adult video actress Rio, star of films Squirting Young Wife and Let's Have Sex at School.

Decked out in evening wear, Rio appeared at the SEGA press event in Tokyo for the game, along with the other ladies who were cast as the in-game night club hostesses. "I'm extremely nervous right now," said Rio on stage, "and standing here is a truly honor." Rio went on to express gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the game and promotional events for the game. She thinks she has grown as a person.

Rio continued to work her day job during the making of Yakuza 4 and recently appeared in the self-descriptive flick Lingerie x Fuck. Wish her the best of luck in whatever profession she continues in.

Korean/Japanese singer Iconiq's debut album ranked in at #3 this week, selling 32,000 copies. The last time a female solo singer debuted in the top 3 was two years and three months ago, with Aragaki Yui's album Sora. Iconiq has become a topic as of late for her closely cut "baby short hair" style, as well as simultaneously being in commercials for seven different companies.

Former Judy and Mary vocalist Yuki's new album, Ureshikutte Dakiau yo, debuted at #1 this week, with 103,000 copies sold. This means that Yuki has had four successive #1 albums. Her previous record, as a part of Judy and Mary, was three (Fresh, Warp, The Great Escape).

Singer-songwriter Uemura Kana's new mini-album, Watashi no Kakera-tachi, debuted at #13. This is Uemura's highest rank (her previous highest rank was #62, with her last mini-album.) Uemura came to attention when her song Toire no Kamisama (トイレの神様 God of the Toilet) topped the Usen lyrics search chart. The song is a sentimental acoustic song, telling stories about Uemura's grandmother.

76 year old singer Peggy Hayama's single Yoake no Melody reached #99 this week, making this her first single in 38 years and 10 months to chart in the top 100. Hayama debuted as a singer under King Records in 1952.

A Japanese game show is taking the world by storm by becoming one of the top TV formats of recent times.

“Hole in the Wall” originally started off on Fuji Television Network in Japan, but has been sold now in more than 40 countries across. Executives lay the program’s success to its being “fun, fast and zany,” adding that the “unique” nature of many Japanese shows often makes them stand out from their European and American counterparts.

The show started off in Japan in 2006 as “Nokabe” (“Brain Wall”) and involves players contorting themselves to fit through cutouts in a large Styrofoam wall moving toward them. If the players, normally celebrities clad in silver spandex leotards, fail to make the necessary shape, they are knocked down by the wall and end up in a pool of water.

The format immediately attracted the attention of executives at FreemantleMedia (owned by RTL Group), which acquired the rights from Fuji and, working with partner production companies, has sold the format in more than 40 countries, including China, the U.S. and most of Europe.

The most recent issue of fashion magazine "an an" is all about how to get beautiful legs and they've chosen actress Toda Erika (21) as the representative of long and slender legs. The cover already shows why she is the perfect choice for this topic.

of course she has long legs by nature, but it takes a lot of training and effort to keep them as beautiful as they are. Every day she has to try training every muscle whenever and wherever possible. "I'm worried about how I can make them look beautiful just like everyone else," she said.

Ryo Nishikido (錦戸亮), the member of both NEWS and KANJANI∞ finished the shooting of the movie "Chonmage Purin/ちょんまげぷりん".

Nishikido is playing a Yasubei who travels through time from Edo period (180 years ago) who meets a single mother Hiroko (Tomosaka Rie) and her son Tomoya (Suzuki Fuku). In order to thanks for the accommodation, Nishikido starts cooking and makes pudding for Tomoya. And during the stay together, these three persons become inseparable...

The original story is adapted from the book "Fushigi no Kuni no Yasubei / ふしぎの国の安兵衛".

The shooting started from February 6th. Only one month, Nishikido has become a man who speaks "...degozaru(でござる)", the sentence used by ancient Japanese. Surprisingly, all cake-cooking scenes are finished by Nishikido himself. Both Tomosaka and Suzuki said it matched Nishikido perfectly.

It is also the first time for Nishikido to play the main role in the movie. "I feel like: 'I made it!' I became a patisserie during the stay with a single mom and her son, and made various cakes. I felt released when shooting finished. And I believe it is a movie to be well-received by everyone." commented Nishikido, "White day is coming...boys, how about giving her a pudding as the present?"

The movie is not only a comedy but also a movie will remind you of Samurai and ancient Japan. With the heart-warm story, let's enjoy the cooking skill of Nishikido!

It seems DOMINO has made it big! Their latest single has risen up to the #1 spot on numerous lyrical search engines, and has been hailed an "anthem" for graduates around Japan!

Many schools across Japan used “Precious Moments~仰げば尊し~” as a graduation “anthem” for the graduates who graduate/graduated this month. The song was actually wrote last year by  DOMINO when they graduated, and was featured on their debut album, before they were signed to their major record label.

The chorus of the song is very heartfelt, as it goes, “Every single day just moments, countless moments, even the pain and sorrow, everything is a precious moment, I’ll remember everything, thank you for the love and smiles, thank you.

DOMINO will be performing at three different college graduations ceremonies this month.

More expected than you think.

In Lady Gaga's new video for "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé, there is a scene where actor and singer Tyrese smacks a random girl's ass, and the girl exclaims, "ワンピース!", or "One Piece!," a possible reference to the famous Japanese anime.

It is also argued that the phrase can also refer to a dress, which in Japan, is also said as "ワンピース".
